I was emailing with one of the guys at Krotos this week and he reminded me about this tutorial on their site about creating futuristic UI sounds with Weaponiser. Weaponiser is primarily a tool for making unique, textured, detailed and mostly badass gun sounds for your game and film projects but it can actually do a lot more with its mix of sampler, synthesizer and effects layers.
I find UI sound design really fascinating because it’s often very complex but simultaneously something people don’t think about all when it’s working right.
