In this video you’ll see what I did to make an interesting drum break section of a song using Addictive Drums layered with a sped up, pitched up version of the same loop.

Not sure if Drum Break is the right name for this but I think you can agree it’s an effective way of adding macro dynamics, and breaking up two similar sounding sections of a song.

Addictive Drums makes it easy to get the rendered audio out of the plugin (it’s always recording during playback) but with different virtual drums you’d just need to render the section, or record the output of a track.
