Released April 30th, this update has a few interesting fixes and changes to Automation item management, region display in the ruler, and snapping.
00:22 – Media explorer: import automation item name when inserting via media explorer action
support drag-import of multiple automation items at once
01:16 – Project bay: add support for automation items
02:45 – Ruler: display selected regions (for rendering) more distinctly
add context menu item to render individual regions
04:29 – Snap: option to snap time selection to media item edges
05:37 – Take FX: add actions to set take FX on/offline
06:52 – Projects: losslessly encode long/complex track/take/marker/region names in project/undo state

Whatever you have been doing over the last month has been causing all kinds of interface problems(freezing). You have bigger issues than just memory spikes with the performance meter open
take it to the forum, this is not where the devs are.
