In a recent drum editing gig I needed to comp in other takes after the majority of the timing edits were completed. I imagine a lot of users might hit a roadblock in that situation, even panic and think they have to start over.
So in this video I’m sharing a couple tips that got me through the edit using some REAPER features that might not be obvious.

1 – Using empty items in the folder lane to aid in dragging items on many tracks at once
2 – Using the per-item ruler option to find specific time reference

3 – Color your takes to easily see where the take changes are in the comp
