Jon shares a tip with the REAPER Project Bay where you can save empty items with FX chains and automation envelopes to reuse in other projects. You can build up a library of your own transition effects as complex as you like.
Reusing the effect in other projects is as easy as Drag and Drop.
If the project is a different tempo than the saved item you can alt-drag the edge to resize before moving the take fx to the track.
Personally, I’m going to use this mostly with Video FX. I’ve made some fairly complicated effects in videos that have been hard to recreate or transfer between projects until now.
