Do you have media explorer databases that have stopped working after changing computers, or moving files on your drives? Here’s how to quickly relink the files using Sublime Text.
I recommend this free text editor Sublime Text http://sublimetext.com
What I like about it is being able to replace text in multiple files at once, which is perfect for our purpose today.
- Open Sublime Text
- Go to Find Menu, Find in Files…
- Enter the text to find (the old file location)
- Select the folder or files to process
- Then the new text to replace (the new directory)
- Click replace and confirm in the popup window
The files should all open in Sublime text for you to check and run additional replace actions if needed.
Then CTRL/CMD-S to save for each file.
