In my last live stream we spent over an hour chipping away at my overgrown REAPER Media folder, and got it from over 570 files to just 5.
These are random bits of audio, abandoned projects and silent recordings that I just didn’t need to keep. It felt so good to finally make progress on that mess.
During that time we found a few ways to speed up the process and I’m sharing those tips in this video.

Important! If you are not already using separate media folders for each project, proceed with caution. There’s really no way of knowing if that media belongs to a project. I highly recommend this other video for organizing your projects. Fixing your disorganized projects

00:00 – we start here
01:35 – select silent files
02:48 – Delete source files
03:49 – Rename your files
04:46 – recap of actions used

Script: X-Raym_Keep selected only active takes audio under or over peak volume threshold.lua
SWS/S&M: Delete selected items’ takes and source files (no undo)
Xenakios/SWS: Rename take source files… (no undo)
