Ampbox is a virtual guitar amp suite providing excellent tone shaping through expert recreations of amazing amps, pedals and cabinets.

Mercuriall sent me all their amps to try in Ampbox. I must say I’m pretty impressed with it, and I had a lot of fun making this video.

Compared to other amp suites that I own (Amplitube CS and Helix Native), the scope of Ampbox is much smaller, but also much deeper in the amp/preamp department. There are only 6 preamps (each sold separately), but each has every channel, multiple tube/structure/boost options, all the options of the original, plus mods, and every amp channel has independent EQ which makes channel switching more practical.

There are two options for cabinet tone shaping, a small selection of cabinets with 2D positioning of 2 simulaneous mics. Anternatively you can choose from a fairly large list of included impulse responses, or add your own.
