Some users on the forum were having difficulty following the tutorial and getting their iPhone or iPad connected to REAPER.

The issue turned out to be entering the Host IP address incorrectly. There shouldn’t be anything other than numbers or dots in the address.

Here’s a screenshot from an iPad with the incorrect Host address.

Here it is with the corrected Host address.

Here is what it should look like on an iPhone

Finally, here is where you find the Host address for your computer in REAPER along with all the other OSC settings. The numbers in the screenshots are NOT the numbers for YOUR computer and iDevice.

Still not working? Leave a comment below or on the forum.

Thanks to rsmus7 for the iPad screenshots.

Been using this for a week now, what a great tool, especially if you work alone. No more hitting record and running to the mic. Here’s a heads up if you load TouchOSC one day and find it isn’t working. I had some net trouble and had to reset my modem and wifi router. Found that this changed my IP addresses for all my computers. Just by the last digit, but something to keep in mind if OSC was working and then it isn’t.
