One of my favorite plugins from the AIR CreativeFX bundle is the FilterGate. In this video I show using it on a steady 16th note hihat pattern to instantly add dynamics.

That’s pretty cool…I spend so much of my time trying to make drum machine hi hats sound more dynamic and “realistic”. This could be a real time saver for me. Thanks for the review!
I think the same thing can be done with Tantra (see review here), and a lot more. I’ve never thought to use Tantra on a hihat track before. One of those problems you don’t realize you have until it’s solved.
