Inspired by a question on the Facebook page last week, in this video I’m showing four ideas for trying to make a fake room mic. I use ReaVerb, EZDrummer2, Trigger, and Amplitube.

Nicolas Ocampo asked “Do you have a tutorial about creating a room mic using the individual tracks of a drum kit?”

There is a more obvious way, that of using ReaVerb to simulate a room sound. There is in the Reaper Stash Files several great drum room convolutions. I like Drum Place 1, Drum Nice Booth, Small Drum Room and sometimes some of the hall convolutions. All are very convincing.
