Something a little different this week, back to regular reaper tutorials in 2018.

When using a handheld field recorder you always have to be careful not to create noise just from holding the device. It’s difficult to remove in editing and we can do better.

In this video I show a few options for avoiding handling noise, as well as making the setup more comfortable and versatile.

 

 

My favorite by far is the KT-50 Mini Tripod. Since recording this video I’ve filled the hollows of the tripod legs with hot glue to reduce the ‘tone’ heard in the video.
