One of my favorite speed mixing tricks is to set up ways to show only the tracks I’m working on at a time. Instead of scrolling through the tracks to find my bass tracks, I just press the Bass button and everything else hides. Same for guitars, vocals, keys, just the bus tracks, etc.

I set this up on a toolbar beside the docked mixer, and also on my web remote, and StreamDeck.
In this video I’m updating my toolbar using Lokasenna’s great scripts: Lokasenna_Show only specified tracks.lua and Lokasenna_Select tracks by name.lua (available through ReaPack extension).

I’m using these scripts to simplify a much more complicated workflow I was using for custom actions in my mixer toolbar. Instead of a cycle action, plus a custom action, its all done in the script, and with more options.

Important note!
If it’s your first time using the Lokasenna scripts, you do need to run one more action to get the GUI working.
“Set Lokasenna_GUI v2 library path.lua”

Hi Jon, hope you have been well. No pressure to respond to this, and I’d be happy to donate for answer to this: I’m trying to use lokasenna for selecting specific names of tracks etc… I clicked the ‘set library’ action, but when I click on the ‘set tracks by name’ action, it says “Core.lua:57: attempt to call a nil value (field ‘ReaPack_GetOwner’)” – If you could direct me and let me know what i could donate it return 🙂 thanks man.

I don’t know that error off the top of my head. did you install the full package through ReaPack or just a few scripts?
