In case you missed it, on Arya’s IDDQD Sound YouTube channel he’s recently hosted live Q&A sessions with Cockos crew Justin Frankel, Schwa (John Schwartz), and Kenny Gioia.

We see these people on the official forum every day, and see their work creating REAPER, but we rarely get to learn anything about the people of Cockos.

If you have a few hours I think you’ll find many valuable insights into the history, how REAPER is developed, collaboration, music production and more.

Justin Frankel – Creator of REAPER

Schwa – The mysterious other half of REAPER coding team

Kenny Gioia – Official tutorial maker

And I have to give a mention to Arya’s website where he’s shared tons of tutorials and free downloads. https://iddqdsound.com/blog/

Maybe this isn’t the place to post a question, but I have been recording with Reaper for a few years and have recently acquired a problem when I record. I recorded a sax solo but it wasn’t what I preferred, so I deleted it once I listened to it. When I tried to re-record the solo I had a full one second delay as I tried to record. I didn’t change a thing except delete the first recording. I haven’t had a single problem with latency up to this point. I have an older Tascam US-1800 interface. Is there a setting that I’m just not seeing? I’ve tried changing the latency settings, but nothing works.
