I found this pink noise cymbal trick from producer Joey Sturgis in a short, and tried it out in a project. Even though I didn’t have the same plugin, I found it interesting and useful. Today we’re exploring this technique in more depth with a few different plugins, including a free REAPER exclusive.

It turns out the version of Smooth Operator I have isn’t available anymore, so If you want to try out the new Smooth Operator Pro please use my link https://reaper.blog/pluginboutique
Thanks to URM Academy and Joey for the original idea, and for always sharing great metal mixing content.
