Back to: Beginner Mixing Course

Hello and welcome to this free beginner course on mixing in REAPER!

This course covers a lot of the essential concepts you need to mix and be comfortable working in REAPER. The plug-in effects used in this course are all included free with REAPER. This first part covers the things you should be focusing on in the first hour of your mix.

The song I’m mixing in this video is called All The Same by the band North To Alaska. The multi-track files can be downloaded free so you can follow along if you wish.

Please feel free to ask questions at any point as they come up and also browse the site for more videos and information.

At the end of each section click Mark Complete to move on to the next lesson. Your progress will be tracked in the left sidebar.

    I’m looking for the “Mark Complete” in order to click on it but not seeing it anywhere. Using Chrome Browser. Guess this is as far as I go….

      Hi Mike. You might need to use a different browser in that case. This is what the buttons should look like on the bottom of each page

          You don’t see previous and next buttons at the bottom? What about the course progress widget on the top left?

          Try a different browser. Should work on Firefox and Safari.

      It’s called Default 5.0 Nitpicky Edition with a few tweaks to colors.

    I tried using both Chrome and Firefox and I see no “Mark Complete” button. When I click on the next phase of the tutorial, it says I need to enroll in the course first, which of course I did. I’m logged in with my account.

      Hi Bob, sorry for the trouble. Actually I’m not seeing you in the students list for the course, could you try again?

      And also, are you on computer or smart phone/tablet?

      This is an old thread, but I was having the same problem in Chrome. Figured it out – it was because I hadn’t clicked the ‘Buy Now’ button after registering but before accessing the lesson – works great now. Will leave this in case others have a similar issue.

    Still haven’ heard back about the WRB 2 that I purchased a few days ago. Also, not sure what I have to do or buy to watch the videos, as all I get is You must take this course first. I looked at the courses and there is nothing that I can purchase that I didn’t already related to WRB.

    I am unable to get a response when I click on the start arrow for the first video. Is there something else I need to do first?

      There shouldn’t be any prerequisites for this one. If other youtube videos are working for you I’m not sure what is happening here.

    Like many others, I’m not getting a “Mark Complete” after watching the welcome video. Registered, started on Chrome, switched to Firefox, nothing.

    If it helps: I didn’t see the Mark Complete button after watching the first video either, but then I enrolled in the course (as required to watch the next video in the course). After enrolling, then going back to the first video, the Mark Complete button showed up.
