REAPER version 5.24 is out now and although it is a small update there are several excellent and noteworthy additions
Highlights from this update
00:27 – Automation: separate preference for adding edge points when moving items vs moving multiple envelope points
01:45 – Dynamic split: add support for generating transient guide markers
+ Stretch markers: add transient guides, optionally calculated handles which can be used to quickly add stretch markers
+ Dynamic split: improve analysis speed, disable timestretch/pitchshift during analysis
4:35 – Take lanes: obey multiple selected items/item grouping when switching takes via lanes
5:30 – FX: update bypass check image to have more contrast with dark themes
+ FX: auto-resize to VST/AU size on doubleclick in empty area of FX windows
+ VST: improve resize and UI behavior with various VST3 plug-ins (including MeldaProduction and Melodyne)
+ macOS: fix VST UAD plug-in appearance
7:00 – MIDI: optionally export project tempo map and cues without any channel MIDI

Good catch James! It’s in my options menu but only because I put it there. It’s normally only found in the action list.

What transient guide markers could be used for? I’m not understanding well why I should use them instead stretch marker. Can you make an example?
If anyone is wondering, like I was, where to find the follow takes in grouped take lanes option. It is in Options>Take Lane Behavior>Select takes for all selected items when clicking take lane.
