Stochasticizer MIDI Sequencer is a free plugin for REAPER that plays your selected notes semi-randomly. It works in Mono or Polyphonic modes and can save 8 patterns.

Download the JSFX

Install to your REAPER Effects/MIDI subfolder.
save as stochasticizer.jsfx
To use, insert before a virtual instrument on track fX chain.
Enter notes on the 16 step grid. Sequencer runs with project transport.
Commit to MIDI patterns by setting track record mode to Output: MIDI

Thanks for featuring my script, Jon! Just to give viewers some additional background: I am really into semi-random and generative music and hope to do more JSFX stuff soon along those lines. After writing the JSFX script, I rewrote it as a full blown VSTi plugin and released it through a plugin company. Search for “Audio Vitamins Stochas” if interested. I also created firmware for the Groovesizer hardware platform that has a subset of the functionality (google for “groovesizer stochastic” to see a video demo)

Problem with these sequencers is – they not read out named note from reaper midi editor. Instead of display names of used midi keys for example with reasamplomatic notes are named as used drums sounds. these sequencer only display name of midi notes not names of actuall midi keys in reaper midi editor. without that feature they all not usable for me cause i want knot what i do and which sound sequencing. untill they add this feature i think theese sequencers are rather not usable for me.
