One of the best stock plugins in Pro Tools is the SansAmp PSA-1, a clone of the Tech 21 rackmount unit of the same name. It was a secret weapon for my mixes and one of the few exclusive plugins I really missed.
I was thrilled to find there are now alternatives, including this free (windows only) SoftAmp PSA, and Nimbrini PSA-1000 (about $30 on sale)

In this demo I’m using the PSA on guitars, bass as amps, and for Kick and Snare in parallel.
